Financial Aid

Stone Ridge granted over $2.5 million in need-based financial assistance for the 2016-17 school year. We are committed to working with families to provide an unparalleled Catholic education. Families seeking financial assistance are required to submit an application via the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment by January 15.

The value of a Stone Ridge education can been seen from the words of a member of the Class of 2016. She wrote a handwritten note to our Head of School after graduation that said:

Dear Mrs. Karrels and the Scholarship Committee,

I am writing this letter to thank you for my education. I came to Stone Ridge thirteen years ago and have since then become a confident woman armed to take on the world with a set of skills and values that only a Sacred Heart education could have given me. But none of this would have been possible without you. I received financial aid and scholarships for every one of those thirteen years and for that I will be eternally grateful. Thank you once again and I hope you have a great summer.

Financial Aid for Prospective New Students

Financial Aid
Application Process for Families of Prospective Students

New families applying for financial aid for the 2018-19 school year need to complete an online application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment by Monday, January 15, 2018. Application materials are generally available after November 1.

Apply online
The following information is required by January 15, 2018 in order for FACTS to process your application:

  1. Complete online application.
  2. Payment of the $30 application fee to FACTS.
  3. Copy of your Federal Tax Return for 2016 including all supporting tax schedules. Do not send copies of State Tax Returns.
  4. Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Child Support, Unemployment, and Workers' Compensation. If you have Partnership Income or income from an Estate or Trust, call FACTS at 1-866-441-4637 to ascertain what additional documentation is required.

Also required:

Each of these items should be forwarded to FACTS as soon as it is available. This can be done after submitting your completed application; we understand that these items may not be available before the January 15 deadline. Do not postpone sending the items above, specified for January 15, until the items below are received as this will delay the processing of your application:

  1. Copies of all 2017 W-2 Form(s) and 1099 Forms for both you and your spouse.
  2. Copy of your 2017 Federal Tax Return including all supporting tax schedules.

Send all the required documentation directly to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment rather than to Stone Ridge, using the download feature at the end of the online application. Alternatively, you may send your documents to FACTS via their secure fax line at 866-315-9264. Include a cover sheet addressed to FACTS Grants & Aid Assessment, and include your name and application ID code. Allow a minimum of two additional weeks for processing and submission to Stone Ridge.

Please prioritize submitting your 2017 W-2 and 1099 Forms as soon as you receive them. In many cases, Stone Ridge can make financial aid determinations using 2016 tax returns and these 2017 income documents, prior to receipt of your 2017 tax returns.

Additional Information:

Barring unusual circumstances, such as late application to the School, families applying for financial assistance must meet the above deadlines. Families of students currently receiving financial aid are given priority consideration in the first round of awards. Thereafter, awards are made on a first come, first served basis. No application will be considered until all requested items have been received. Families who miss the specified deadlines jeopardize their chance of receiving aid and may be placed on a waiting list.

Financial aid decisions are made independently of Admission decisions. Letters concerning financial aid awards are mailed on a similar schedule to that of admissions acceptance letters, or shortly thereafter.

All financial documentation is kept confidential and shredded when no longer needed.

If you have questions about the application process, you may speak with a FACTS Customer Care Representative at 1-866-441-4637 or by email at facts@factstuitionaid.com.
