Father/Daughter Field Day
Field Day

Field Day is the final all school athletic event of the year and offers the last opportunity for students to win points for their Blue and Gold teams. Organized by the Upper School students in the Athletic Association, the day includes morning competitions between students. In the afternoon, fathers join their daughters for food and games. The day ends with the final all-school sports awards celebration. This celebration culminates with the big announcement as to whether the Blue team or the Gold team was victorious for the year, and the new reigning school champions celebrate by ringing the victory bell and will fly their flag at Gator Field throughout the year. Points are accumulated throughout the year through a variety of ways and the team totals are secret until the last second providing extra drama to this special SR tradition!

Blue/Gold Induction Ceremony & Team Assignments

Each year new students to Stone Ridge will learn their time honored tradition of being selected to either the Blue or Gold teams. Family legacy determines team assignment; however, all new students to Stone Ridge will learn which team they will forever cheer while as a student and as alumnae. For each division (US, MS, and LS) there is formal Blue/Gold Induction Ceremony with lots of spirit and cheering that occurs at the beginning of the school year.

The day offers an opportunity to show your school spirit and come cheer the Gators to victory. Additionally, the day always has numerous US and MS athletic contests, and when possible includes organized LS teams that play in recreational leagues.

Senior Day

Senior Day is an extremely important and memorable moment for student-athletes who will be playing their last regular season home competition for Stone Ridge. The day encapsulates their commitment to Stone Ridge, their coaches and their teammates, as well as all the sacrifices made to get to that point. Each graduating student-athlete and their parents are honored before the game in a brief ceremony.
