Middle School Music Offerings

Our Middle School programming is three fold at Stone Ridge. General music is taught to grades 5-8. Instrumental and choral music are also offered to enhance the students experience focusing on the development of musicianship both as an individual and as a member of a team. Students also engage in the music, language, dance and heritage of other cultures. Throughout the curriculum students are active in developing and improving their musicality and music literacy skills.

Middle School Band, Orchestra and Choir
The objective of the performance program is to provide a well-rounded experience focusing on technique, musicality, understanding of the instrument/voice, developing an appreciation for the art form in its various capacities and in learning music from a variety of genres and historical periods. Empowering students to be creative, aware and self-sufficient artists with grounding in solid technique is our primary goal.
