Stone Ridge parents are involved and make the Stone Ridge community a true community. Like their children, parents find lifelong friends at Stone Ridge.
Our parents embrace volunteering, as their commitment is vital to the success of Stone Ridge. Active volunteering helps to create a positive environment for all students and uses the interests and expertise from parents and guardians of the Stone Ridge community.
Opportunities exist to become involved with school-wide projects and events such as the Auction, Golf & Tennis Classic, and Art Show; serve as a Lower or Middle School Class Parent; show your support to our athletes through the Blue & Gold Boosters; represent Stone Ridge on the Parents Council of Washington; and work on committees formed and sponsored by the Stone Ridge Parents Association (SRPA).
All Stone Ridge parents and guardians are members of the SRPA. The SRPA’s overarching goals are to:
- Implement the Goals and Criteria within the parent body
- Welcome and integrate new parents into the Stone Ridge community
- Sponsor activities that support the greater School community
- Provide forums for parent education
- Provide networking opportunities for parents
Committees and groups such as the Fathers Club, Community Service, New Family Mentoring, and Lower School Spirit Day, among many others, provide a framework through which parents can work with each other to provide meaningful and enjoyable opportunities for students and the parent community at large.
We look forward to all parents being involved in the life of school at Stone Ridge.
