Financial Aid Application Process for Current Stone Ridge Students
Families of current Stone Ridge students applying for financial aid for the 2025-26 school year need to complete an online application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment by December 31, 2024. A new application is required each year for which assistance is sought. Application materials are generally available after November 1.
The following information is required in order for FACTS to process your application. Note that FACTS maintains documentation from the prior year so the documentation you sent last year does not need to be resent.
Due December 31, 2024:
- Complete online application.
- Payment of the $45 application fee to FACTS.
- Copy of your Federal Tax Return for 2023, including all supporting tax schedules. Do not send copies of State Tax Returns.
- Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Child Support, Unemployment, Workers’ Compensation. If you have Partnership Income or income from an Estate or Trust, call FACTS at 1-866-441-4637 to ascertain what additional documentation is required.
Also Required:
Each of these items should be uploaded to FACTS as soon as it is available. This can be done after submitting your completed application; we understand that these items would not be available before the December 31 deadline. Do not postpone sending the items above, specified for December 31, until the items listed below are received as this will delay the processing of your application.
- Copies of all 2024 W-2 Form(s) and 1099 Forms for both you and your spouse.
- Copy of your 2024 Federal Tax Return including all supporting tax schedules.
Send all the above supporting documentation directly to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment rather than to Stone Ridge School, using the upload feature at the end of the online application.
Please prioritize submitting your 2024 W-2 and 1099 forms as soon as you receive them. In many cases, Stone Ridge can make financial aid determinations using 2023 tax returns and these 2024 income documents, prior to receipt of your 2024 tax returns.
Additional Information:
Barring unusual circumstances, such as unforeseen job loss, families applying for financial assistance must meet the December 31 deadline. Families of students currently receiving financial aid are given priority consideration in the first round of awards. Thereafter, applications from families of both current and new students are reviewed on a first come, first served basis. Families who miss the December 31st deadline jeopardize their chance of receiving aid and may be placed on a waiting list.
Families of current students whose applications are complete usually will be emailed their Financial Aid decisions in February 2025. Families are asked to meet the re-enrollment deadline (to be announced), even if an award decision has not yet been received by that date.
All financial documentation is kept confidential and destroyed when no longer needed.
