A Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for girls, Grades 1-12, with a co-educational Early Childhood Program, infant through Kindergarten age.



Dance at Stone Ridge is offered through the Stone Ridge Afterschool CampUs Program for Kindergarten through Grade 6 and during the school day for Grades 7 & 8.

Stone Ridge participated in the “Rockette Experience.” Grade 8 students traveled to Radio City Music Hall in New York City. They took a jazz class with the Rockettes, participated in a Mock Audition, had a Q&A with the Rockettes, and had a backstage tour. The day ended with dinner at the famous Ellen Stardust.


Mrs. Njuki is an East African dancer, choreographer, and performer. She taught the Grade 7 dance classes an East African dance that the girls performed in a Showcase.

Mrs. Welch, an original cast member of the Broadway show, 42nd Street, visited with the our dancers and discussed the process of auditioning for a Broadway show. She exhibited video of her performance in Japan. Mrs. Welch also taught the girls some of the original choreography from the “Lullaby of Broadway”. The students performed this dance in the Showcase.

Broadway Dance

Over Spring Break, ten Grade 8 students went to Paris to dance at the Americaine Academie de Danse de Paris. Students took class from Brooke Desnoes and watched their pre-professional company rehearse. In addition to the dance classes, students toured the city, including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and Paris Opera. They also had the opportunity to converse in French.
