25th Annual Golf and Tennis Classic

The Stone Ridge 25th Annual Golf and Tennis Classic

Stone Ridge is proud to host our 25th Annual Golf and Tennis Classic on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Argyle Country Club. Over the years, the proceeds from this event have allowed our Department of Athletics to stay current with the latest in athletic/sports needs. We are very appreciative for the generosity of all those who support athletics at Stone Ridge, which in turn impacts all of our students. This year the proceeds from the Golf and Tennis Classic will support the following programs and supplies for the Department of Athletics:

The Athletics Leadership and Character Development Initiatives

Golf ClassicThrough our partnership with the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), Stone Ridge Athletics has developed a Leadership & Character Development Program to benefit student-athletes. PCA is a national non-profit organization developing "Better Athletes, Better People" by working to provide all youth and high school athletes a positive, character building sports experience. Stone Ridge will be expanding upon our foundational partnership with the Positive Coaching Alliance to provide more specific and intentional leadership training for the student-athletes. Some of these programs will be focused on the entire student-athlete population, while other opportunities will target students in leadership roles or identified by coaches as strong team leaders.

Our Athletics Leadership and Character Development Initiatives impact every student athlete. All student-athletes will be exposed to the programming--approximately 200 students in Middle School and 300 students in Upper School. Intended programming will be tiered with older student-athletes being exposed to more advanced programming.

We invite you to learn more about our expanded partnership for leadership programming which provides a direct benefit to our entire community: Play Like a Champion Today and Strive: How You Lead Matters.

Scoreboards

Stone Ridge’s Upper Athletic Fields, including both Harkins Field and the adjacent Bermuda Field, are in need of new scoreboards. All of our Middle and Upper School athletic teams, including soccer, field hockey, softball, lacrosse, and cross-country, as well as our Physical Education and Gator Strong programs, utilize these fields and are in need of an upgraded scoreboard for enhanced play and competition.
