Stone Ridge is proud to host our 26th Annual Golf and Tennis Classic on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Argyle Country Club. Over the years, the proceeds from this event have allowed the entire Department of Athletics to remain a leader with regard to our athletics programming and facilities. In previous years, the department has been able to update all gym and field scoreboards, in addition to renovating several facilities and purchasing new equipment. We greatly appreciate the generosity of those who support the 400+ SR student-athletes competing on 53 varsity, junior varsity, and Middle School teams.
This year the proceeds from the Golf and Tennis Classic will support the following Facility updates for the Department of Athletics:
The Stone Ridge Aquatic Center: As the home to one of SR’s most successful teams and to all SR girls through our swimming physical education programming, the SR Aquatic Center upgrades will address areas to improve the swimming and competition experience for all Gators. Some of these upgrades will include new starting blocks and backstroke flags, updated facility branding, an updated timing system and scoreboard for hosting swim meets, and an updated record board to ensure proper recognition of the program’s history.
The Stone Ridge Athletic Center: With recently re-finished courts, installed scoreboards, and a renovated locker room, the SR Athletic Center is the hub for all student-athletes at Stone Ridge. With historic and increasing participation on SR athletic teams, new programming efforts to best utilize space and equipment are essential for the future. Updating and purchasing additional fitness equipment for the Andreas Center will better serve all SR student-athletes and Middle and Upper School physical education students. Along with additional equipment, efforts will be made in facility branding and space usage, including a team meeting space, to provide a second-to-none experience for all girls that pass through the Athletic Center.
