Lower School Music Teacher
Stone Ridge is seeking a Lower School General Music Teacher to begin work on August 18, 2026.
The Lower School General Music Teacher is responsible for teaching general music, in alignment with the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education and will:
- teach an Orff-Schulwerk-based General Music curriculum to students in Grades 1-4 that includes movement, games, listening, literacy, and history.
- support Middle School music electives as assigned and needed.

Upper School Costume Shop Manager Part-Time, 60%)

The Part-Time Upper School Costume Teacher is responsible for:
- supporting the Upper School drama department by assisting with costuming for 4 (2 US and 2 MS) productions, two in the spring and two in the fall.

Middle School Science Teacher
Stone Ridge has a potential opening in Middle School (Grade 8) Science Teacher to begin work in August 2026. In Grade 8, students study Earth Science, and explore the disciplines of geology, meteorology and chemistry during the course of the year.
The Middle School Science Teacher is responsible for designing curriculum in alignment with the Maryland State Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for middle-grade students as well as with the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education. Using core ideas from the three major scientific domains articulated in the NGSS, the Stone Ridge Middle School science teachers endeavor to help its students:

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Head of School Office, including calendar management, scheduling, communications, travel scheduling, and meeting preparation.

Part-Time (40%) Athletic Trainer
Stone Ridge is seeking a Part-Time Athletic Trainer to begin work in August 2025.
The Athletic Trainer is responsible for:
- ensuring adequate athletic training coverage for all home competitions in conjunction with the Director of Sports Rehabilitation and Performance. This might include designated “home” games for teams that compete at facilities off campus - such as ice hockey.
- acting in accordance with standards set by the National Athletic Trainers Association.
- evaluating athletes’ readiness to play, and provide participation clearances when necessary and warranted.
- conducting initial assessments of an athlete's injury or illness in order to provide emergency or continued care, and to determine whether the athlete should be referred to a physician for definitive diagnosis and treatment.

Compensation for this position will be hourly, with a range of $35-$45 per hour.
Coaching Positions - RECRUITING FOR 25-26
Stone Ridge is seeking applications for individuals interested in coaching positions in the Athletic Department for the 2025-26 academic year. A variety of positions are anticipated to be available as we begin confirming staffing Stone Ridge’s more than 50 athletic teams for students in Grades 5 through 12.
Applicants are encouraged to submit a cover letter and resume using the link below for consideration. Applicants should clearly indicate their availability and interest for which programs they are hoping to be a part of.
It is possible for applicants to fill multiple coaching roles (i.e. both a Grade 7/8 Soccer assistant coach and a Varsity Soccer assistant coach), and they should indicate if their availability and interest in coaching at multiple levels.
At the moment, positions that are projected to be open include:
Middle School Coaching positions:
- Grade 5/6 Commitment: roughly every-other weekday, 1:15pm - 2:30pm
- Grade 7/8 Commitment: roughly every Monday-Thursday, 2:30pm - 3:30pm
*Game/Competition days may run a little later
Sport Offerings and General Dates:
- Fall Season (Aug. 27-Nov. 7): Cross Country, Field Hockey, Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball
- Winter Season (Nov. 10-Feb. 27): Basketball, Swimming, Pickleball, Various Fitness Classes
- Spring Season (Mar. 2-May 28): Golf, Lacrosse, Softball, Tennis, Track & Field
Middle School Coaching: Stipend Range: $2,000-$3,000
Upper School Coaching positions:
- Most programs run on every weekday that school is in session in the after school time range of 3:30pm-6:00pm. Game Schedules may require some later commitments. Most programs have minimal or no weekend commitments. Some off-campus programs will vary due to facility availability. Part-time assistant coaching commitments could be possible for certain sports.

The ultimate goal of the Stone Ridge Professional Development Program is threefold: increased student learning; continuous, responsible growth for all employees; and the creation of an environment for learning that gives life to the School’s mission.
