Upper School Theology Teacher
Stone Ridge is seeking an Upper School Theology Teacher to begin in August 2025.
The Upper School Theology Teacher is responsible for:
- teaching five sections of theology, with the content area yet to be decided, in alignment with the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education.

LS/MS Campus Minister
Stone Ridge is seeking a Middle School Campus Minister to begin August 13, 2025.
The Lower/Middle School Campus Minister is responsible for supporting the faith development in the Lower and Middle School community in alignment with the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education.
The Campus Minister:
- collaborates with the campus ministry team and the Middle School religion teachers in planning and preparing for division and grade level liturgies and prayer services.
- leads the Grade 8 Confirmation Class (requiring occasional after-school commitments).
- provides pastoral care to students and families, as needed.
- facilitates the MS Student Ministry.
- collaborates with the Campus Ministry team in planning and preparation for All-School prayer services and liturgies.

Upper School Counselor
Stone Ridge is seeking an Upper School Counselor to begin work in August 2025.
The Upper School Counselor is responsible, in collaboration with other counseling staff in the school, for the overall counseling program in the Upper School and provides social and emotional support and assistance to all students in order to foster personal growth and development in and out of the classroom. The counselors’ main objective is to help create a safe, healthy and supportive environment for all members of the school community.
The Upper School Counselor will:
- assist students in areas of social and emotional development in small group facilitated seminars, and provide individual counseling support for students experiencing social or emotional issues.
- collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to understand and address student needs.
- serve as a consistent, trusted presence for all students.

Director of Social Action
Stone Ridge is seeking a Director of Social Action to begin in August 2025.
The Director of Social Action provides leadership and coordination for the Upper School Social Action Program in alignment with the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education:
- organizes every aspect of the Social Action program, including: morning presentations and afternoon reflections; training and support of Fourth Academic Social Action Leaders; sites for Second, Third, and Fourth Academic student visits; transportation for students and faculty; communication with families; and the cultivation of student leadership throughout the program.
- is responsible for developing areas of growth for the program, including partnerships with local organizations, determining and designating placement of students at particular sites, and communicating with partner organizations about the nature and requirements of our program.
- in conjunction with the Head of Upper School, the Director of Social Action manages the budget for the program and expenditures for Student leadership.
- The Director of Social Action also coordinates student participation in the Network of Sacred Heart Schools Summer Service Projects.
The Director of Social Action:

Assistant Head of School for Academics
Stone Ridge is seeking an Assistant Head of School for Academics to begin work in July 2025.
The Assistant Head of School will partner with the Head of School on continued connection of the school’s educational philosophy to the mission and values of a Sacred Heart education.
The Assistant Head of School for Academics will:
- Maintain integration of the K-12 curriculum, consistent with the Goals and Criteria of a Sacred Heart education.
- Serve as an expert leader in curriculum design and instruction and oversee the daily management of the academic program in partnership with division heads.
- Serve as Chair of the Academic Leadership Team, directing and organizing the team’s work and collaboration.
- Collaborate closely with the division heads, academic department chairs, and learning strategists to further develop curriculum and programs consistent with the rigorous academic environment at Stone Ridge.
- Support faculty and staff in ongoing professional growth.
- Implement strategic planning initiatives and participate in the evolution and modification of the objectives, demonstrating an ability to pivot and re-align as desired outcomes change.
- Serve as a member of the Administrative Team.
The desired candidate will have the following demonstrated experiences or abilities:
- Prior experience with leadership in a Catholic school and/or deep knowledge of Catholicism, the Catholic community, the Archdiocese of Washington, and Sacred Heart identity.

In addition, the Head of Middle School acts as the educational leader of the division, is responsible for its day-to-day operation, and functions as the chief articulator of programs, expectations, behavioral guidelines, and other information necessary to ensure that all constituencies are fully informed.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, the Head of Middle School:
- Observes and evaluates the faculty in the development and implementation of curriculum.
- Makes recommendations to the Head of School regarding the hiring, retention, and assignment of faculty.
- Develops plans for meeting every learner’s needs in conjunction with learning support teams.
- Oversees and guides the activities of the division.
- Facilitates co-curricular and extra-curricular activity programs of the division.
- Assists in the planning and the presentation of school assemblies and programs.
- Assists in maintaining a comprehensive calendar of school events.
- Works with the Assistant Head of Middle School to establish guidelines for proper student conduct and dress, maintain student discipline consistent with school policies, monitor students' adherence to established school rules, and maintain accurate records of student attendance and citizenship.
- Works closely with the Director of Enrollment Management and the Admissions Team to attract, admit, enroll, and retain new students.
- Maintains regular communication with parents about the life of the division. This includes regular coordination with the Director of Marketing and Communications for key external communications.
The desired candidate will have the following demonstrated experiences or abilities:
- Prior experience with leadership in a Catholic school and/or deep knowledge of Catholicism, the Catholic community, the Archdiocese of Washington, and Sacred Heart identity.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to giving life to the school’s mission, including our values around diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and experience designing pedagogy and curriculum from a framework of cultural sensitivity and understanding.
- A commitment to understanding and ongoing learning around the evolving trends in education, including research around neurodiversity, mental health, and artificial intelligence.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating, supervising, and supporting a diverse faculty with an ability to coach and mentor faculty at all stages of their careers.
- Meaningful classroom experience(s) in schools, particularly Catholic schools.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically as part of a school’s Administrative Team, particularly around the advancement of curricular initiatives in alignment with broader institutional goals.
- Teaching experience at the middle school level.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project-management abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- A candidate with experience in an all-girls’ school is preferred, though not required.

- Knowledge of current research and best practices in all-girls’ educational environments.

Administrative Assistant for the Athletics Department
Stone Ridge is seeking an Administrative Assistant for Athletics to begin work on August 4, 2025.
The Administrative Assistant for the Athletics Department will be the primary point of contact for daily communication and coordination with Division Offices, staff and parents from the Stone Ridge community, as well as staff and teams from visiting schools and facility rental groups and organizations.
The Administrative Assistant for the Athletic Department will:
- Confirm all games with opposing schools and coordinate operational logistics for home and away games and meets.
- Submit results of all SR games/meets to respective internal and external websites
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Division and Departmental Offices at SR that reach out to the Athletics Department and to all visitors - students, staff, coaches, family members, prospective students and families, and facility rental group users.
- Serve as primary manager of student attendance for Athletics, requiring collaboration with Upper and Middle School Offices for early dismissals, eligible Athletics participation, and the earning of Physical Education credits.
- Serve as the lead in facilitation of the organization and cleanliness of Athletic Facilities, including but not limited to gyms, weight room, field, and storage areas.
- Assist with equipment and team uniform distribution, inventory, and tracking.
- Assist with the management and upkeep of the SR Athletics webpage and facility usage schedules using Veracross, Finalsite, Google Drive and/or other applicable software platforms
- Assist the Director of Athletics and Athletics Department staff in executing all administrative needs for the Department
- Collaborate with colleagues in Physical Education to plan, organize, and execute special events, including but not limited to: Field Day, Blue/Gold Events, Gator Game Days, Swamp Shines Events, Senior Days, Athletics Banquets, Admissions Events, and Department and League Meetings etc.
- Coach or teach physical education courses depending on the needs of the department.
- This is an Academic administrative position running from mid-August to mid-June, observing all School breaks and holidays.
- Typical hours for this position will be 10:00am-6:30pm, Monday-Friday. Some schedule adjustments will be necessary to meet the demands of the School and Athletics schedule.

Student Billing Manager
Stone Ridge is seeking a Student Billing Manager to begin work in June 2025.
The Student Billing Manager will work as an integral part of the Business Office and perform work related to student billing and beyond.
The Student Billing Manager will:
- maintain the student billing system, including entering tuition, fees, auxiliary charges and credits and maintaining the source documents.
- create and process invoices for student charges, monthly extended day study fees, and other ancillary charges.
- reconcile student billing data with the accounts receivable account in the general ledger and address any discrepancies.
- communicate with families about contracts, tuition, fees, statements, payment plans, missed payments, payment plans, etc.
- work with the Chief Administrative Officer to address delinquent accounts; work with admissions to coordinate the annual enrollment process; and collaborate with the Controller on student billing reports and reconciliations.
- enter and maintain the semi-monthly student billing payroll deduction amounts for those students whose parents are Stone Ridge employees.
- prepare reporting and information on revenues and expenses and assist in projections and budgeting alongside other Business Office employees.
- support and suggest improvements to accounting processes within the Business Office.
- additional accounting duties, depending on prior experience.
The desired candidate will have:
- a Bachelor’s Degree.
- a minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- experience with Blackbaud, Veracross, FACTS, or other accounting and school management software packages.

Part-Time Afternoon Front Desk Attendant, Mater Center
Stone Ridge is seeking an afternoon Front Desk Attendant for the Mater Center (student life building) to begin this fall.
The Front Desk Attendant is responsible for staffing the Mater Center front reception desk and managing visitors to the building; providing oversight of student and visitor use of the front lobby and cafe areas; monitoring and reporting on the status of housekeeping or maintenance items.
Position responsibilities:
- Oversee front lobby / entrance / reception area in Mater Center
- Implement visitor and related policies
- Greet and register visitors, address questions
- Answer phone (as needed)
- Maintain order and safety among students and visitors
- Help ensure that the Mater Center is a safe building for all who use it
- Greet and screen visitors, as determined by the School’s visitor management policy
- Take appropriate safety and security actions during drills and emergencies
- Suggest and help implement improvements to any safety policies or procedures
- Oversee the allocation of time and space in the Mater Center
- Help implement policies regarding the use of Mater Center facilities by students, employees, parents, visitors, and other groups
