Adjunct Music Teachers

Adjunct Music Teachers are responsible for teaching all assigned material aligned with The Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education. Ideal candidates have a flexible schedule to include teaching in the afternoon/early evening. Adjunct Music Teachers may be invited to occasionally assist/perform at Stone Ridge performance events. Each is asked to maintain appropriate records of lessons and regular communication with parents, as needed.
Adjunct Music Teachers support the after school music and curricular ensemble program in one or more of the following areas: Piano - Suzuki & non Suzuki, Strings - Suzuki & non Suzuki, Liturgical Musicians, Voice, Woodwinds, Brass, and/or Percussion.
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music and have a demonstrated record of previous teaching experience, including studio and middle and high school ensembles. Part-Time Middle School Spanish Teacher

Stone Ridge is seeking a Part-Time Middle School Spanish Teacher (60%) to begin work on August 13, 2019.
The Middle Spanish School Teacher is responsible for teaching Middle School Spanish in alignment with the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart education. S/he creates and updates plans for content, quality, and continuity of curriculum. S/he is well versed in the philosophy and execution of inquiry-based instruction, within ACTFL standards, in a middle school classroom. Familiar with cognitively-guided instruction, s/he demonstrates experience with both a progressive and didactic approach to teaching Spanish and is familiar with Understanding by Design. S/he actively collaborates with Learning Strategists, Educational Technologists, the Librarian, and the Middle School Counselor to develop strategies to support all students. S/he attends all faculty and employee meetings, serves as a student Advisor, fulfills other faculty duties, and maintains good communication with families about student progress through regular progress reports and responses to parents’ inquiries.
The ideal candidate has experience teaching at the middle school level in Catholic, independent, Charter, and/or public schools. S/he possesses a Bachelor’s in a relevant field; a Master’s degree is preferred. Fluency in Spanish and English is required. S/he demonstrates a capacity for working with a range of learning abilities, experience integrating educational technologies into the teaching environment, strong writing and communication skills, creativity, and a collaborative mindset. Upper School Educational Technologist

Stone Ridge is seeking an Upper School Educational Technologist to begin work on August 13, 2019.
The Upper School Educational Technologist provides leadership to the Upper School in the development of the School's educational technology program in alignment with the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education. Working closely with the Director of Educational Technology & Innovation and the Lower School and Middle School Educational Technologists, s/he implements strategic and programmatic initiatives and models engagement with relevant trends. S/he works collaboratively with and leads faculty in one-on-one and small group settings in the integration of hardware, software, applications, and online resources into a dynamic academic program. S/he provides support to students in the development of related skills through teaching one technology course and supporting co-curricular initiatives. As a member of the Upper School Faculty, s/he attends all faculty and employee meetings, participates in the Social Action Program, supports student activities as a chaperone and/or moderator, and serves as a Student Advisor.
The ideal candidate has experience in independent and/or Catholic school and possesses an advanced degree in a related field. S/he exhibits a passion for and love of adult education, familiarity with trends in educational technology and social media; experience in robotics, coding, and computer science are desired skills. Housekeeper

Stone Ridge is seeking a Housekeeper to begin as soon as possible.
At the Direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeper performs all of the daily tasks required for a Housekeeping Employee (e.g. washing and disinfecting all restrooms; dusting furniture, fixtures, etc.), as well as, a variety of seasonal and specific housekeeping tasks and responsibilities in alignment with the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education. The Housekeeper must have the ability to use a variety of power cleaning equipment including: floor machines, walk behind and backpack vacuums, wet-vacuums, stripping and buffing machines, carpet shampoo, and extraction machines. Likewise, s/he uses a variety of light-duty custodial equipment including but not limited to mops, brooms, dusters, etc. and a variety of chemical cleaners (e.g. floor stripper, floor finish, toilet bowl and bathroom cleaners, general disinfectants, all purpose cleaners, etc.). The Housekeeper must have knowledge of the proper use of spill control materials. The position of Housekeeper requires prolonged standing; walking, bending and stooping; lifting and carrying equipment and objects on level surfaces; traversing ladders and/or stairways, etc.
This position is classified as an Essential Position for the school and is sometimes required to work when the school is closed. The Housekeeper must be a highly motivated individual, with strong organization and communication skills, and a positive attitude. A candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years cleaning experience, preferably in a commercial or residential setting. S/he must be able to perform duties independently, with minimum supervision, and must demonstrate good follow through to the completion of task. S/he is comfortable and adept in working on teams and is detail oriented. S/he has a demonstrated track record for good judgement, reliability and punctuality, and professionalism.
It is valuable, but not required, for a candidate to have the ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish, and to supervise and instruct employees under the direction of the Facilities Manager and Director of Facilities.

The ideal candidate has experience in independent and/or Catholic school. S/he has taught high school fine arts. S/he develops, in students, both an appreciation of fine arts and the ability to develop portfolios as they pursue further studies. Substitute Teachers - PK-12

Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart is seeking Upper School Soccer Coaches for the 2019-20 Girls' Soccer season (mid-August – early November). Head and Assistant Coach positions are available for both Varsity & Junior Varsity teams, with potential for additional coaching opportunities with our Middle School teams. Candidates with a wide variety of experiences are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates possess experience coaching girls at the independent high school level.
Practices and games take place after school, primarily between 3:30-6:00 PM, Monday-Friday. All seasonal coaches will be paid by stipend.
