Shelter Hill Campus Walk

“I'm really excited about the Campus Quad, named Shelter Hill. Having an outdoor common space in the heart of campus with beautiful green space, fun playgrounds, and comfortable seating areas will encourage the girls to gather, play, walk, socialize, and learn in open spaces.”

– Betsy Hoy Shiverick ’78

The addition of a loop road around the perimeter of campus has enclosed the heart of campus as a pedestrian zone and thus created a quad which is affectionately named Shelter Hill Campus Walk. Students gather here to learn, socialize, and play in a beautiful, safe, and accessible environment. At the top of the hill, the new playgrounds provide space for our students to have fun while developing both social and physical skills. Intrinsic to a Sacred Heart education is self-development and personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom. Central to this goal, is the individual achievement of a healthy balance in family and social life, good nutrition and fitness habits, and academics.
