Ways to Give

Give Online: You can make a secure one-time or recurring gift using our secure online giving form. 

Recurring Gifts: Many donors choose to incorporate their giving into a monthly budget or set up a consistent giving schedule. You may decide on a total amount you'd like to contribute and divide it into equal payments through the end of the fiscal year, or simply choose a fixed amount to give each month. Stone Ridge also offers the option to commit to an annual gift for up to three years. All recurring gifts can be arranged through our secure online form, providing both flexibility and ease while supporting the School in a sustained way.

Stone Ridge alumnae, benefactors, grandparents, and others age 70½ or older can make tax-wise gifts through Charitable IRA Distributions. Each year, individuals may transfer up to $100,000 directly from an IRA to Stone Ridge without incurring federal income tax. These gifts can also count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).

Please note that while these contributions are not eligible for a charitable deduction, they can offer significant tax benefits.

To make a gift, contact your IRA custodian to initiate the transfer, and notify our office so we can ensure proper receipt and acknowledgment.

If the stock is held in a brokerage or bank trust account, instruct your stock broker/banker to have the gift of stock transferred to the School’s account. Please contact Ellie Beckler Williams for the transfer instructions. Your tax deduction is the mean price of the stock on the date of its transfer to the School’s account.

A donor-advised fund (DAF) acts like a philanthropic savings account. It is a type of giving program that allows you to combine tax benefits with the flexibility to recommend the amount and the frequency of gifts to your favorite charities like Stone Ridge.

Why give through a DAF?

• Simple: The DAF sponsor handles all record-keeping, disbursements and tax receipts, while you avoid the cost and complexities of managing a private foundation.
• Flexible: The timing of your tax deduction can be separate from your charitable decision-making.
• Tax Savvy: You are eligible for a charitable income tax deduction in the year you make a DAF contribution, and contributions grow tax-free. Additionally, your DAF will not be subject to estate taxes.
• Legacy: A gift through a donor-advised fund is a meaningful way to strengthen your family’s tradition of philanthropy.

A number of companies support the philanthropy of their employees with a Matching Gift program. Many of these programs match or double the gift you have made. Please check with your employer to see if the company has a matching gift program. To participate, follow the guidelines of your organization, typically found in the employee benefits area of the employee webpage. Our Advancement team can help if you have any questions.
