Stone Ridge

Thomas A. Duckenfield, III

At present, Tom Duckenfield, III is the CEO of TDB Communications, Inc.Previously, he practiced law as a partner in several law firms in corporate finance, commercial transactions, corporate diversity counseling, renewable energy, government contracts, international trade, and small and minority-owned business counseling.

Tom has extensive experience as a Trustee at his alma mater St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School, the Nomini Hall Slave Legacy Project, St. Albans School, the Menokin Foundation, and the District of Columbia Bar. He is co-founder, with Dr. Garrett Lowe, of Headstones & History: Black Lives Matter(ed) and has written and spoken extensively about antebellum African American history.

A proud veteran, Tom served in the US Army as an infantry lieutenant, captain in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, and Assistant to the Army General Counsel in the Pentagon.

Tom received an AB degree in History from Princeton University in 1986, a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School in 1989, and an England & Wales Solicitor Qualification through the Oxford Institute for Legal Studies in 2011.

An active member of the Stone Ridge Father’s Club (SRFC), Tom has participated in Stone Ridge special events and projects, participating in Q&A sessions, DEI Better Together presentations, Stone Ridge Fund Annual Giving, and the Cor • Unum Capital Campaign.

Edward J. Quinn

Edward “Eddie” Quinn is the former Chief Financial Officer and a partner of TW Perry, a building materials sup- plier in the Mid-Atlantic. Eddie and his team negotiated the sale of TW Perry to Builders First Source (“BFS”).He now manages investments for his family and former TW Perry partners. Before joining TW Perry, Eddie was the President of the wholesale energy division of Constellation, an Exelon Company, where he oversaw portfolio management and dispatch activities for Exelon’s generation fleet and retail businesses.

Eddie held a variety of sales and management roles at Constellation during his fourteen years at the firm, including being President of the Customer Supply business. He also worked for International Paper and Enron before starting at Constellation in 2001. Eddie has an MBA from Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, and an Economics Degree from Boston College.

Eddie is currently the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the San Miguel School, a tuition-free middle school dedicated to serving low income Latino boys. Eddie also serves on the board of the Potomac Community Resource House, Inc., a permanent home for adults with developmental differences, The Shepherd Foundation, and the Thomas Somerville Company.

Eileen Mayer, Returning as Board Chair

Eileen Mayer worked as an attorney specializing in tax codes and matters. She practiced law in the federal government for 35 years, primarily as a criminal prosecutor. Eileen has a BA in Economics from Randolph-Macon Women’s College (known today as Randolph College) and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center. She is currently President of the DC Chapter of The Christ Child Society, Washington DC, and is a Trustee at the Washington School for Girls (WSG), where she serves on their Development Committee and Strategic Planning Committee and as a mentor of sixth-grade students at WSG. Eileen was on the Board of Columbia Country Club for years. Eileen is currently a member of the Conference on Sacred Heart Education. Eileen brings back a vast knowledge base, including expertise in Board governance, school culture, networks and connections in DC and throughout the US, strong alumnae ties, and a proven ideal temperament for Board work.
