Parent Volunteer Form

Dear Stone Ridge Parents/Guardians,

One of things that makes Stone Ridge such a wonderful place to go to school is our community. Volunteering at Stone Ridge supports Goal IV, the building of community as a Christian value. By volunteering, you get to know better the students, other parents, the faculty and administration who are all part of our rich and diverse community. Whether you have only a few hours a year, a month, or week, there are a wide variety of ways you can actively participate in the many enriching activities and programs at Stone Ridge.

The Stone Ridge Parent Association (SRPA) sponsors over 50 activities a year that benefit 100% of the students. There are many ways to get involved, from working on division specific events, to decorating Hamilton House at Christmas, to supporting our Gator athletes or helping our larger DC neighbors through community service work. We also have opportunities for parents to volunteer in the Gator Gallery, our school store, and to help with our Lower School lunch program.

In order to coordinate the School’s volunteer activities, we kindly ask that you take a few moments to complete the volunteer form for the 2025-26 school year. As you fill out the form, please select the area(s) in which you would like to help. We know that it is difficult to predict your schedule for the upcoming year, so the purpose of this form is to identify individuals who may be interested in learning more about a particular committee. Once the form period has closed in mid September, your information will be given to the respective committee chair and he/she will contact you about upcoming meetings and events.

Every child benefits from the commitment, interest, and assistance given by involved parents and guardians. We hope that you find a way to join us as we continue to live out Goal IV,  the building of community as a Christian value.

Thank you for your participation.

Admissions Office Liaison

The Admissions Office is delighted to have the active participation and representation of current SR parents at various admissions events throughout the school year. Our current families are an integral part of the admissions process as prospective families are extremely eager to hear what makes SR special from a parent's perspective.

Parent volunteers may help in various capacities, including welcoming new families to our community; answering questions and offering parent insights; and providing general office support. The Admissions staff will work with volunteers to provide training in advance.
Parents are encouraged to volunteer their time at our Open Houses, which run on a monthly basis from October – January.

Parent volunteers also are encouraged to represent SR at our Welcome Receptions for Newly Admitted families. These events, which will take place in the spring, are opportunities for newly admitted applicants and their families to ask questions and gain rich insights about our school programs and community.
